Inspiration Station: Undie Edition

I spotted these images of Michelle Williams in GQ over on the 80’s Purple blog. First of all, she looks HOT (albeit as Marilyn Monroe, but still, she’s totally working it)! Second of all, it got me thinking that I need a total panty drawer overhaul. Sometimes I pick out a few pieces that make me feel haute, but other times I’m left feeling uninspired. I love the flirty, feminine, and vintage appeal to her look here. It’s timeless and I need it in my life.

Naturally, I went scouring the internets for said look and for pretty little things, that didn’t look cheap- ew. Essentials: lace, intricate details, nudes, and blacks. Here’s my finds, priced $80 and under. The focus this time is on bras and baby dolls. Enjoy ladies!

Fashion Tip: Take Your Camera into the Dressing Room

I stopped by Francesca’s on Saturday for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection! I love trying things on before I buy them, just for the simple satisfaction of playing dress up somewhere other than my bedroom or bathroom. I usually let the mirror do the talking, but decided that since I’ll be wearing these things at some point on the blog, I should test them out on film first. To be honest, it was actually the make or break point for buying each item: whether or not they looked good on camera. You should try it! Cher didn’t make Dion take polaroids of her for nothing in Clueless, she was wise…very wise.

Silly Time: Blume Edition

Kimberlee reached out to me a few weeks ago with a pretty cool proposal. She’d send over a couple personalized Blume patches and I’d style them for le blog. I love most personalized things, so I was pretty excited to receive my “Ashley” patch in the mail. The first thing I did when I opened up the package was put the patch anywhere and everywhere but on my clothes. Blame it on the silly factor, but I took some pics with my patch and now we’re inseparable.

Wardrobe Staple You Need: The White Oxford Shirt

I went out with my mom-ster for lunch and made her stop to take my photo…much to her chagrin. Let me tell you, it took forever for me to get her to have a steady hand. I couldn’t even get into positioning the camera or framing the photo or anything ELSE! But I love her, regardless of her nontography skills.

Sometimes I spend so much time trying to find the perfect outfit, that I forget a crisp white oxford, denim, and wedges ALWAYS looks great.

What’s your go to “recipe” for the perfect outfit?

The Coolest New E-Boutique: ERIIN

Finding new places to shop makes me giddy! I discovered ERIIN a few weeks ago on Tumblr before the official shop launch and was immediately drawn to their awesome posts. I was tempted to go through and like every single one of their posts, but that would make me look crazy…right?

Kate and Maisha are two stylish (and incredibly sweet) friends who know a thing or two about great style and that’s why I love ERIIN. I took the time to interview the girls and get the scoop on ERIIN for ya ;-) You’re welcome!
