Spice Up Your Camera: DIY Chain Link Strap

This weekend I instagrammed a pic of a random and impulsive DIY project I took on on Friday. I never attached the strap that came with my camera because I wanted something snazzy lol. After months of dealing, I realized just how much I needed a practical AND snazzy camera strap after fumbling with my cam all night while out at an event. I’d seen the Chanel inspired chain link straps and thought they were cool, but I wanted to do my own thing. A little chain, a little leather, and a lot of snazz.

I bought all my materials from Michael’s (total cost $10), but I bet it’d be twice as fun to find vintage materials and re-purpose them. What you need:
- Chain- you can find this at Michael’s or your local craft store, at vintage jewelry online, from a vintage or thrift store, or from your jewelry box!)
- A leather strap- I used a leather bracelet that I found at Michael’s
- Pliers
There you have it! An easy and super cute chain strap! Do you like it?
